Chronology Exercise (50 pts)

Using the sherd counts from the series of sites (A-H) listed in the Ceramic Data link, fined the percentage of each ceramic type at each site. Then use these percentages to construct a Seriation (i.e., put the sites in order according to the assumptions discussed in class).

            Using the radiocarbon dates provided in the Radiocarbon Dates link, go to the CALIB 5 web site through the link provided below and calibrate the dates using the on-line calibration program (Read the CALIB instructions first!).

            Answer the questions in the Exercise Questions link below, based on the Seriation you constructed, the site stratigraphic records, the regional map, and the radiocarbon age calibration results from CALIB.
